The Driving Licence should be Renewed within 30 days before or after the end of validity of Licence. Driving Licence can be renewed after 30 days of the end validity of Licence by paying the penalty.
If the Driving Licence is not Renewed within a year from the Date of Expiry of Licence, then the applicant should undergo all the formalities to obtain a fresh licence.
At first Driving Licence is issued up to the age of 40 years. At the age of 40 years, it Renews up to the age of 50 years. After the age of 50 years, it has to be Renewed for every 5 years.
Whereas Transport Licence should be Renewed every 3 years.

If the Driving Licence is already expired, then it will incur penalty fees as: Rs. 200 for 1st Year after Licence Expiration The applicant would have to apply for ReTest and Revalid, If the Driving Licence has expired more than a year ago.
